Flamenco Workshop
Guajiras con abanico (with a fan!)
Come learn guajiras (from "guajiro" a Cuban farmer). Guajiras is a flamenco form of the cantes de ida y vuelta (flamenco songs brought to Latin America (mainly Cuba) by Spanish migrants, influenced by Latin American folk music then later brought back to Spain and flamenco's origins.)
In this intensive students will learn how to use the fan (abanico) in a choreography por guajiras.
$100 prepayment full workshop (8 hours) OR $140 @ time of workshop

The series begins on August 29th and is full of interesting opportunities to move for people of all levels, interests and abilities.

Open Adult Adv. Jazz Class
|
Choreographer, Instructor Brad Hampton is teaching an open Adv. adult jazz class. The class will be on Thursdays 8:30-9:30pm at Westside Dance Academy.
The cost is $10.00 for the hour.
This class will be fun and fast paced. If you are looking for an advanced level adult jazz class this is for you.
Brad Hampton is from the Portland area. He has performed on Broadway and numerous industrials and commercials.
